A longer profile for people who want more than a username and three job titles.
Ciao. I’m Patrick Domanico (but you can easily find me online as Cocopraise), a Technical SEO Manager at dentsu and a freelance journalist working across search, technology, AI, data, and digital culture.
My involvement with web development and search engine optimisation goes back to the early 2000s. One of the oldest traces of my digital footprint is Radio Rana (opens in a new tab), an early Italian internet radio project dating back to 2003 (opens in a new tab).
Since 2012 (opens in a new tab), I have also helped thousands of webmasters through Google’s community programme, initially as a Top Contributor (opens in a new tab) for the Italian Webmaster Forum and today as a Product Expert for the Italian Search Central Community. Over the years, I have helped troubleshoot issues across more than 2,500 websites, covering organic search performance, Google Search Console, crawling and indexing, structured data, mobile SEO, and other technical SEO challenges, while gaining experience across different programming languages, frameworks and both open-source and enterprise CMS platforms. It has always been a win-win experience for me: helping people solve real problems while continuously improving my own understanding of how search works in practice.
Radio has been another constant throughout my digital journey. In 2005, I founded WRA - Web Radio Associated, which contributed to the development of internet radio in Italy and helped more than 500 internet radio stations start broadcasting online. Through WRA, I worked across a wider digital media ecosystem involving broadcasters, media operators, collecting societies, copyright and licensing organisations, commercial stakeholders, institutions, independent organisations, media agencies, and other industry representatives.
That experience also introduced another important dimension to my work: understanding the policy, regulatory, and legal environment surrounding digital technology. Over the years, I have monitored and interpreted Italian and European developments affecting internet radio, digital audio, copyright, licensing, competition, and online broadcasting, while representing the interests of internet radio operators in discussions, consultations, and hearings with regulatory authorities, policymakers, collecting societies, and industry organisations. This perspective continues to influence the way I approach the web, SEO, AI, and automation today: not only from a technical point of view, but also with attention to compliance, accessibility, data protection, governance, and the wider regulatory environment.
My professional experience is supported by a multidisciplinary academic background spanning a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Business & Digital Marketing, a Master’s Degree in Journalism, and a Higher Diploma in Science in Data Analytics for Business.
Today, radio is still an important part of what I do. You can listen to me every Monday at 7 PM Irish time on Near FM with my radio show, Do You Speak Tech?. Each week, I explore the technologies we use every day and try to raise awareness of how they affect our lives, both directly and indirectly.
So, “Don’t Miss a Byte and Listen to Me.”
